There will be two major competitions in this fest:
Around 1100 colleges across the Nation will participate in this competition from 28 states and 9 Union territories.
The competition will be conducted at four levels:
At each level, contestants will be judged by a jury of media professionals who will select finalists for the National level mega-event in Mumbai.
Ikshana 2022 will begin in August and culminate in November 2022 with a mega event at the St. Xavier's College campus in Mumbai. Those selected for the National level will converge to a two-day event of conclaves, workshops, final competitions and interactions with media and media professionals. The lodging and boarding expenses of these participants will be taken care of by the XIC. The National event will give the finalists the exposure to the amazing prospects of the media industry through workshops, participation and interactions with media professionals in the Human Library and in conclaves, besides being recognised as National winners of the Great Storytelling Contest (written and film).
Theme for both the competitions: “Celebrating Diversity”.
Eligibility:
Participation is open to all students - FY, SY and TY Degree students - who are
passionate about filmmaking and storytelling.
Entry Fee:
There is no entry fee for these competitions.
Registration:
Register for the competitions on or before 15-Oct-2022.
Submission:
Submit the Film/Story online on or before 15-Oct-2022.
Awards:
The winner at the national level will be given a trophy and a prize money of
Rs. 50,000 and the runner up will be awarded with a price money of Rs. 25,000 for each competition.
All the wining participants at every level will be awarded with participation certificates and gift vouchers. All the award winning stories and films will be published.
